Scope and Contents
This series contains records from the NCAR Climate and Global Dynamics (CGD) dvision’s Ecosystem Dynamics and the Atmosphere section (EDAS). Included are files on the UCAR Climate System Modeling Program (CSMP), the Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change (IPCC), and the Model Evaluation Consortium for Climate Assessment (MECCA). Also included are files on workshops and meetings supported by EDAS and CSMP, as well as administrative records.

Biographical / Historical
The Ecosystem Dynamics and the Atmosphere section (EDAS) was established during the summer of 1992 under the leadership of David Schimel, who held a joint appointment with CGD and UCAR's Climate System Modeling Program (CSMP). Please note that the section is also referred to in the records as EDA.
