Biographical / Historical
James McWilliams joined NCAR’s Atmospheric Analysis and Prediction division (AAP) in 1974. He was affiliated with the NCAR Oceanography Project from 1975 to 1976, and then with the AAP/CGD Oceanography Section from 1977 through the 1990s. He was also a founding member of NCAR’s Geophysical Turbulence Program.
