Scope and Contents The David Atlas Papers collections contains correspondence, clippings, photographs, microfiche, handwritten notes, conference minutes, research bibliographies and articles that provide a glimpse into the work of Dr. Atlas at the Harvard-MIT Radar School, a record of the National Hail Research Experiment (NHRE) from 1974 to 1975 and an account of the evolution of the Atmosphere Technology Division (ATD) during Dr. Atlas's tenure from 1972-1975.

Scope and Contents This collection consists of the records of the National Hail Research Experiment, an experiment aimed at making a contribution to the question of the operational and economic feasibility of hail suppression. Records include budget information, correspondence, newsletters, planning documents, research proposals, reports, and weather modification licensing materials. Selected materials from this collection have been digitized are available in the NCAR Library's digital repository, OpenSky.
