Biographical / Historical
NCAR's Research Aviation Facility (RAF) has been in operation since 1967, serving the NSF geosciences community by providing research platforms and expertise in airborne installations and measurement techniques.
The collection is arranged according to original order. Drawings were retained in their original cabinetry and drawer order.
Immediate Source of Acquisition
Acquired from Marcel Verstraete and Steve Williams of the Earth Observing Laboratory (EOL) in September 2014.
This collection was processed over the summer of 2015. All materials were retained. Drawings were flattened for storage if possible and rubber bands were removed.
