The NCAR Climate and Weather Impact Assessment Science Program focused on critical scientific gaps in the weather and climate arenas that have proved particularly challenging for decision-makers and scientists alike, including characterizing uncertainty, extreme weather and climate events, and the role of climate in human health. This collection contains program documents as well as documents and presentations from the Initiative Review Meeting on August 3, 2004.
The collection is arranged in two series based on the order of the subdivisions provided on the program homepage, "Program Documents" and "2004 Review Documents."
In Fall 2015, records from the Weather and Climate Impact Assessment Science Program were selected for inclusion in the digital preservation efforts of the NCAR Archives per the Archives collecting scope and policy.
Existence and Location of Originals
All documents were downloaded from the two document websites of the program, namely "Program Documents" and "2004 Review Documents." Most files were already in PDF upon downloading. Those that were Powerpoint files were converted to PDF by opening the files in Powerpoint and then saving as PDF.
