Scope and Contents
In this audio recording, William (Al) Cooper of the University of Wyoming gives an NCAR Prize Lecture titled "Ice in Winter Clouds: Some Observations and Speculations." Cooper received the NCAR Outstanding Publication Award for 1974, for his paper, "A Possible Mechanism for Contact Nucleation," which appeared in the October 1974 Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences. He delivered this lecture on May 2, 1975. (Note: Audio is distorted during first few minutes of the recording, due to problems with the tape.)
