The Wonders of Science at Twenty Ninth Street, 2006-10-14
Scope and Contents
Photos from the The Wonders of Science at Twenty Ninth Street mall event; including photos of staff and the public interacting with exhibits in the outdoor space. NCAR's exhibit is a granite sphere fountain etched with outlines of the seven continents. The sphere is suspended on a thin film of water so that visitors can spin it in any direction. The exhibit also includes an 8-foot-tall, lighted kiosk with dramatic photographs on all sides that demonstrate the scope of NCAR's scientific research.
