Scope and Contents
The audio cassette tapes in this sub-series primaily contain recordings of lectures by and interviews with NCAR staff members. The tapes are mainly Compact Cassettes, but there are also a few microcassettes, micro dictating cassettes, and Digital Audio Tape (DAT) cassettes.

UCAR does not hold copyright for some of the recordings in this sub-series. It is the responsibility of the researcher to determine copyright and obtain permission to use materials.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Most audiovisual materials in this collection have not been reformatted to a digital medium. Some are not available for playback due to preservation concerns associated with playing the original tapes, or because playback equipment is not available. Materials may not be playable or viewable in their current state.
