Scope and Contents
This sub-series consists of video and audio recordings of NCAR staff members discussing their research, field projects, and NCAR programs and facilities on television and radio news programs. Most of these recordings are on VHS video cassette tapes, but many of the recordings from the 1980s are on U-matic video cassette tapes. Also included are a few Betacam tapes and CDs. Descriptive information for most of these recordings has been transcribed from the cassette label and case.

Conditions Governing Use
UCAR does not hold copyright for many of the items in this sub-series. It is the responsibility of the researcher to determine copyright and obtain permission to use materials.
Physical Characteristics and Technical Requirements
Most audiovisual materials in this collection have not been reformatted to a digital medium. Some are not available for playback due to preservation concerns associated with playing the original tapes, or because playback equipment is not available. Materials may not be playable or viewable in their current state.
