This is a documentary film about the Tropical Wind, Energy conversion, and Reference Level Experiment (TWERLE), filmed in Pago Pago, American Samoa, during the summer of 1975. During TWERLE, approximately 400 balloons were launched from American Samoa, Ghana, Ascension Island, and New Zealand, and the balloon data was transmitted to NASA's Nimbus 6 satellite. The film contains footage of field work, as well as still shots of balloon and flight train components. Filmed by James P. Scott, Jr. A Sun Cinema Production. (Color, sound.)
