Scope and Contents
Most records in this series pertain to two project areas within the Communications Office: image selection for NCAR/UCAR publications and exhibits, and the Communications Office video collection. The image selection files contain planning documents and correspondence, as well as related photographic prints and slides, and annotated copies of final publications. The files relating to the video library contain video shot lists, scripts, content summaries, planning documents, and correspondence.

Arrangement
The audiovisual materials in the Communications Office Records are arranged by format, with the exception of two sub-series that contain multiple formats: HIAPER Video Material and News Coverage. The recordings in the HIAPER sub-series were received by the Archives in boxes labeled “For HIAPER video.” Most of the recordings in the news coverage sub-series were received in boxes organized by broadcast year. The original groupings and arrangement for these two sub-series have been maintained.
