DC3: Deep Convective Clouds and Chemistry Project, 2012-05-01 - 2012-06-12

A collection of photos from the The Deep Convective Clouds and Chemistry Project (DC3) field campaign based in Salina, Kansas. DC3 investigated the impact of deep, midlatitude continental convective clouds, including their dynamical, physical, and lightning processes, on upper tropospheric (UT) composition and chemistry. Photos are extensive, depicting equipment and instruments inside and outside aircraft, aircraft on the ground and in flight, scientists at work and in meetings, surrounding landscapes, and weather systems.
