Scope and Contents
The Megacities Impact on Regional and Global Environment (MIRAGE, a MILAGRO sub-program) field campaign was designed to examine the chemical and physical transformations of gases and aerosols in the polluted outflow from Mexico City. The C-130 aircraft was used during this field project. The collection includes photos from both the ground and aerial based research activites near Mexico City, and photos of the polluted air common there. Among the NCAR scientists pictured are Frank Flocke, Bill Skamarock, Jose Meitin, Pavel Romashkin, Ed Ringleman, James Hannigan, and Michael Coffey.
