Scope and Contents
A collection of photos from the VAMOS Ocean-Cloud-Atmosphere-Land Study (VOCALS) field project, which took place in northern Chile from October 1 to November 30, 2008. VOCALS was an international field experiment designed to better understand physical and chemical processes central to the climate system of the Southeast Pacific region. Photos show scientists working in a group setting, aboard the C-130 research aircraft, and in the field releasing balloon-borne radiosondes. Individuals identified include Chris Bretherton, Jose Meitin, Chris Webster, Allen Schanot, Tony Clarke, Brigitte Bauerle, Teresa Campos, Vidal Salazar, Carlye Calvin, Paquita Zuidema, Robert Wood.
