Balloon launch with students, 2014
Scope and Contents
A collection of photos from a demonstration of a weather balloon launch on the FL campus. Students are wearing nametags with the SOARS (Significant Opportunities in Atmospheric Research and Science) logo but most are not SOARS protégés. Visible nametags include James (Jake) Huff, Allie Downs, Christian Monroe, and Rosa Vargas Martes. SOARS protégés Eliza Noble and Steven Naegele are in photo with the filename 8C9A3117, standing in the front, without nametags. In addition, UCAR Science Education staff Karen Smith Herman is in filename 8C9A3067, on the right reaching out to touch the balloon, with ATD scientist Katy Beierle on the left holding the balloon.
