Department of Energy CO2 project, 1979 - 1981

This sub-series contains correspondence, draft papers, and report outlines from the development of the research plan Environmental and Societal Consequences of a CO2-Induced Climate Change: A Research Agenda, published in December 1980 by the Department of Energy (DOE) in collaboration with the American Association for the Advancement of Science (AAAS). Also present are correspondence and draft reports from the “Workshop on Environmental and Societal Consequences of a CO2-Induced Climate Change,” held in Annapolis in April 1979. Stephen Schneider was a member of the AAAS-DOE Project Steering Group. He co-chaired Panel IV (Societal and Institutional Responses) of the Annapolis workshop and co-led the development of the corresponding Research Agenda section.
