DICOMEDS, 1981-1982
Scope and Contents
From 1964 to 1982 the dd-80 35mm microfilm cameras, from Data Display, Inc,, were the main graphic output devices. The demand for higher resolution, color, and microfiche drove the decision to migrate to DICOMED film recorders in the early 1980s. These DICOMED cameras were in heavy use until they were retired in 1997, their functionality having been eclipsed by graphic workstations and local printers. The DICOMED cameras were also used for printer simulation and this folder contains a document, dated 03-Nov-1981, describing that.
