NCAR Interactive Functional Specification- DRAFT, 1992

An interactive interface to NCAR Graphics was a long-standing request throughout the 1980s. Providing point-and-click modification of plots was beyond what the staff could develop, but developing an interpreted interface that would allow for interactive specification of plots (as well as a programmatic interface) was embarked upon in the early 1990s. The document in this folder, dated April 4, 1992, documented a functional specification for such a product. This was to become the basis for NCL and GSUN (see above materials for those products).
