Subject File Collection
Scope and Contents
The UCAR/ NCAR Subject File Collection consists of materials dated from the 1960s to the 2000s that cover topics in meteorology and the atmospheric sciences, as well as information about individual scientists. The collection includes curriculum vitae, researcher bios, fact sheets, correspondence, memoranda, press releases, reports, manuscript drafts, interviews, articles, clippings, education materials, photographs, slides, publications, awards, notes, and ephemera.

Method of Acquisition
The majority of materials in this collection were donated by UCAR Communications as they prepared their offices for the move to the Foothills Lab-Anthes Building. Some of the materials came from reference files found in the NCAR Archives and archives staff continues to add to the collection. These materials are secondary sources, however, they were deemed useful as a reference collection.
