Scope and Contents The UCAR/ NCAR Subject File Collection consists of materials dated from the 1960s to the 2000s that cover topics in meteorology and the atmospheric sciences, as well as information about individual scientists. The collection includes curriculum vitae, researcher bios, fact sheets, correspondence, memoranda, press releases, reports, manuscript drafts, interviews, articles, clippings, education materials, photographs, slides, publications, awards, notes, and ephemera.

Scope and Contents The UCAR / NCAR Oral History Project documents the history of UCAR through interviews, recorded discussions, and lectures by staff and others. The project has a strong focus on the creation and development of NCAR as well as the design and construction of the Mesa Laboratory by I.M. Pei, early in the Center's history. The majority of audio files and transcripts in this collection have been digitized and are available online in the NCAR Library's digital repository, OpenSky.
