Scope and Contents
Set of 88 slides, originally stored together in a metal slide box. 38 of the slides are labeled WOR-1 through WOR 53; these correspond to an accompanying handwritten list of brief slide descriptions. The remaining 50 slides are mostly unidentified. The slides depict: Climax domes; Harwick antenna; Sacramento Peak dome; Snow telescope (Mount Wilson); Mount Wilson tower; Glen Canyon balloon launch; solar corona; Dunn loop prominence; spray prominence; diagrams, charts and illustrations; aurora; telescopes at Kitt Peak; Coronascope II; the Newkirk gondola; candids from Sacramento Peak in January 1956; early Mesa Laboratory photos.
