VORTEX2: Photos from the field 2010, 2010-05-17 - 2010-05-20

A collection of photos from the Verification of the Origins of Rotation in Tornadoes Experiment (VORTEX2) field project on the High Plains of the United States. There are images of the mobile radar system Doppler on Wheels and other weather sensing equipment, scientists at work, and dark storm clouds and tornados.
