Scope and Contents This film provides an overview of NCAR's stratospheric sampling work in the early 1970s. Special filters flown aboard high-flying aircraft and unmanned balloons collected samples of the chemical constituents of the stratosphere, which were subsequently analyzed at NCAR laboratories. Scope and Contents From the Series: This series consists of audio tape and motion picture film from the Outreach Office, under the NCAR Director. Approximately 80% of these materials are motion picture films, and are in many different formats. There is an assortment of color and black and white, sound and silent.
