Scope and Contents In this audio recording, William (Al) Cooper of the University of Wyoming gives an NCAR Prize Lecture titled "Ice in Winter Clouds: Some Observations and Speculations." Cooper received the NCAR Outstanding Publication Award for 1974, for his paper, "A Possible Mechanism for Contact Nucleation," which appeared in the October 1974 Journal of the Atmospheric Sciences. Note: This recording was labeled "Paul R. Ehrlich: The World Predicament: What Science Might Do to Help." Upon digitization, it was found that the recording is actually a talk by Richard Scorer, titled "Limits to Meteorology," from July 25, 1975. This was part of NCAR's Hollow Square lecture series.
